Carol Groninger is a licensed and certified psychiatric nurse practitioner in Nashville, Tennessee.



She is a psychotherapist with prescriptive privileges who provides individual psychotherapy, counseling and medication consultation or management to adults and older adolescents.




 
Carol has over 15 years of education, experience and training in providing mental health care to people with a variety of concerns.  She received her BSN from the University of Michigan and her MSN from Vanderbilt University.  She has been a participant and graduate of training programs through the Southeast Institute of Group and Family Therapy and the Nashville Psychoanalytic Study Group which is co sponsored with the St Louis Psychoanalytic Institute. 


Her experience includes inpatient care, church based counseling, and community mental health. 


For the past several years she has managed the mental health care for Vine Hill Community Clinic where she does therapy and medication management and she also has a private practice where she offers appointment times in the evening and on Saturdays.  Because of the diversity of these practice experiences, Carol Groninger has experience in a wide variety of conditions that cause anxiety, depression and other forms of mental anguish.
